RDSS is a real-time ROS detection system in a fresh sputum sample that contains respiratory and inflammatory cells (active for ROS production) with the assistance of an electrochemical sensor including a nanostructured material sensitive to ROS. The device has the certificate indicated in letter No. 664/46323 issued on 05/13/99 from the Medical Equipment Department of the Ministry of Health of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This system is suitable for screening normal people without clinical symptoms or with mild symptoms to warn against quarantine and additional tests for COVID-19, as well as for the use of acute and chronic respiratory diseases based on ROS sputum.
Due to the high importance of True Positive during the COVID-19 pandemic, warning to perform additional tests (CT-Scan and RT-PCR) for apparently normal cases or even with mild symptoms whose ROS results have been positively scored by RDSS would be useful. Software of the device was calibrated according to the ROS levels of more than 300 samples of sputum. COVITEST can be used to suggest additional clinical examination on suspicious people. The disposable sensing tool of the system would be entered to sputum sample and showed the ROS levels in less than 30 seconds. So, it is very useful in the initial examination of apparently normal people, especially asymptomatic cases.

Oxides of sulfur and nitrogen are the main air pollutants that are also responsible for acid rain. Excessive sulfur content in petroleum fractions such as naphtha, in addition to causing air pollutants, can corrode tanks, reactors, pipes and fittings. Currently desulfurization is carried out using desulphurization catalysts adjacent to hydrogen; thus at a certain temperature and pressure, as well as a specific proportion of hydrogen, sulfur atoms convert to hydrogen sulfide. Catalysts based on γ–alumina are commonly used for desulphurization. Alumina has various applications including ceramic membranes, paints, refinery and chemical catalysts, pollution control and base catalyst. The mesoporous γ–alumina with pore diameter in the range of 2 to 50 nm due to its high specific surface area, high porosity, good thermal stability and suitable pore distribution is used as the most common base catalyst in desulphurization.
