Suggestion for establishment of a company for exportation of engineering services and water and electricity equipment was submitted to the Minister of Energy in writing on March 1994 by Mr. Mallaki (Eng.), Former Under secretary of the Ministry of Energy (Eng. Zangeneh) and Mr. Masoud Hojjat, Former Deputy in Electricity Affairs, to the Minister of Energy.
Iran is one of the oldest oil and gas producing countries. Currently, Iran has the world’s third oil reserve and the first natural gas reserve and it is generally the biggest reservoir of fossil energy reserves. Also, Iran has a unique potential in the area of renewable energies including solar, wind, geothermal, biomass and hydro energies.
Geographical situation and energy infrastructure have brought Iran a geopolitical energy situation.
Since acquiring the Integrated Management System certificate based on ISO 9001: 2008, ISO 14001: 2004 and OHSAS 18001: 2007, SUNIR has maintained principles and standards of quality, environmental protection and OHASAS standards.
According to the ENR (Engineering News Record)’s report of top 250 International Contractors, published annually by McGraw Hill, SUNIR has been ranked 170 generally and 13 in Power Transmission and Distribution within top contractors of the World in 2016.
Competent in implementation of project in power, water, waste water, Oil and Gas, SUNIR was selected as an Exemplary Export of the year by Trade Promotion Organization affiliated to Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran in 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, and 2015.
